The story of my winery began in 1996, when I decided to make my dream come through. I chose a precious position between Bolgheri and Bibbona to set up my vineyards. The area has indeed a special microclimate: the close position to the sea and the regular winds blowing among the rows of the vineyards make our terroir the best ever possible for the production of important and structured wines.
The original vineyard of Leopoldo I di Toscana gave birth to the first vintages of my work as wineproducer and this has been for me the best most important training time. Finally I could make the most of my previous long agricultural experience and I started with planting the traditional Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah as well.
I have always been aiming at producing important red wines, with strong structure and a great ageing potential.
If I should name the specific core of our work team, I would certainly highlight the carefull attention to the respect of the terroir we have been given, but also the vineyard care and the selection on the grapes. Actually the blunt personality of our wine is for our work team the best reward ever, since this means that the rigorous work in the vineyards and in the cellar gives out a great result.
Last but not least, the IGT Toscana appellation of quality gives us enough to produce wine with a classic Bordeaux blend, but also for ambitious monovarietal attempts. Today our cellar produces DOC Bolgheri wines, in addition to the IGT Toscana wines of the origins.
